This is one of the three limited edition flavors of 2011 from Ritter Sport, Amarena Kirsch, or Amarena cherries. I personally do not like general cherry flavoring too much, because it just tastes extremely fake and artificial. However, this chocolate does not have so much of that fake flavor, but a hint of the tartness of the cherries. The outside is creamy milk chocolate, with the smooth filling of cream and accent of sugary cherry crunch. That's right, the cherries inside are actually crunchy, or more like crispy. The texture feels like sugar crystals, so I am guessing that they were candied cherries. The flavor combination worked out fairly nicely, and not contradicting at all.
I give it a 8 out of 10.
